#2- Jaylen Brown (Boston Celtics)
Similar to Ingram, Jaylen Brown didn’t have an exceptional rookie year. However, he did show the immense promise and potential that the Celtics saw when they picked him 3rd overall in 2016. With Hayward out, both him and ROY candidate Jayson Tatum have had to increase their workload.
For Brown, he’s been starting at the 2 spot this season, which has seen him get increased touches. Combining with his athleticism and ability to shoot the three, Brown is currently averaging 16.8 points. With no set starting guard, it is very reasonable to assume that Brown can continue to play well and secure the starting 2 spot for the remainder of the C’s season.
